Addison Groove Project was a funk/jazz jam band based in Boston, MA. Most of the band grew up together and went to Wellesley High School. The band waited until all the members had completed their college studies before they recently began their full year touring.

The band lost bass player John Hall to cancer on Thanksgiving night 2004 after 18 months of illness in which he played gigs on and off. His bass lines were subsequently picked up by Rob Marscher on his keyboards. On September 1, 2005 Brendan McGinn announced that he is entering medical school at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. It also announced that a new band Skinjer composed of Dave, Ben, Andrew, and Rob of AGP which will perform when Brendan is too busy with school.
On March 3, 2007, at the Paradise Rock Club in Boston, Addison Groove Project performed for the last time in the foreseeable future.
The band name comes from John Hall's father, the Rev. Addison Hall of Saint Andrew's Church in Wellesley, MA where the band members grew up.
